Digital Economy workshop

To explore how the digital economy might contribute to a low-carbon future, the Visions & Pathways 2040 project joined forces with Future Melbourne to hold a workshop with sector experts in December 2015.

Held at the University of Melbourne, the workshop attracted experts from Arup, Aurecon, Deloitte Digital, Siemens, Action Foresight, Holos Group, City of Melbourne, ABC, The Conversation, Open Food Network, CSIRO, University of Melbourne, Carlton Connect Initiative, Shareable and Office of Green Industries SA.

This expert consultation scrutinised the direct and indirect social and environmental implications of the two competing value models in the digital economy: a peer-to-peer exchange economy and a peer-to-peer commons economy.
